1. South Africa Metalworkers Begin Strike, Inciting Economic Fears

After the end of the strike of minor, as many economists are concerned, thousands of metalworkers have started another strike over pay rates. According to Bloomberg report, National Union of Metalworkers of South Africa (NUMSA) originally requested 15 percent wage increase, they demand 10 percent now while employers offer 8 percents increase over the first year of a three-year deal. Thies strike affects negatively on iron, steel industries, and other industries such as telecommunications and plastics, according to Business day.

I fundamentally support the labor union because just one labor has no power against the big company, but gathering them empower to accomplish their opinion. However, some labor union abuse their rights acting like noble. You can easily see like that Hyandai labor union does. In this article, NUMSA start their strike after the minor's strike, and they argue for too much wage increase. It is so selfish choice and blame themselves because they exploit their rights that they know they are important labor for their country.

3. Tax season off to a flying start

As South Africa's 2014 tax season got under way, The South African Revenue Service(Sars) started to receive returns. 14,000 officials of Sars would be deployed over the country to help people submit easily their returns. For the same reason, Sars has opened new branch offices. In this process, there will be fraudulent tax returns. Sars warned it, and they would look for fraudsters. By the way, there are many tax practitioners in Republic of South Africa. But only around 11,000 of 38,000 tax practitioners are given the right to be on behalf of their clients. So Sars recommend people to avoid tax practitioners.

When the first step of smart phone was released, many people were afraid and did no how to use it. However, almost people use a smart phone and it is comfortable. It is really awful changes that just small IT devices make people use it from morning to night. As smart phone does, tax education will provide easy life to pay their tax and know what tax categories mean. It is not extraordinary changes but gathering of small changes will be a huge changes!
